Patriotic Planning For A Child's Fourth Of July Party
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Kate_Slinger]Kate Slinger

The Fourth of July is an important date for all Americans. Some show their patriotism by throwing parties, so it will be a great idea too for you to have a fourth of July party for your child. However you need not celebrate it on the actual day, if not some children might not be able to come because some families have their own celebration on that day.

One of the most exciting parts for this type of party is the decoration. Put up colors of red, white and blue decorations in all different styles. You can put up buntings, signs and decorations in red, white and blue. Even your tableware and cutlery can be decorated in those colors. Buy paper cups and plates in colors of red, white and blue. Tie ribbons of those colors on your cutlery.

A number of different games can be played. Since most of the games are played outdoors, the best place to have your party would be in a safe and fenced backyard. Your children can play sack races and play tag, games that you have played in your time and in your parent’s time before you.

Another important and fun part of the Fourth of July party is to have a parade. You can request in your invites that all your guests come in the national colors and they can parade down the street. You can even invite parents to join in the fun and come for the parade too. For food ideas, serve watermelons, red, white and blue cookies and brownies. Other types of fruits might be suitable too.

If you live in the part of the country where there are fireworks then you and your party can watch the fireworks display. However, if there are no fireworks to watch, do not be discouraged. Ask the children to cut or tear up streamers and confetti from colorful, construction paper and throw it into the air and pretend it to be fireworks. You could even do some homework before the guests arrive and hang up streamers on the ceiling to make it look like fireworks. With some imagination, you will be able to set up beautiful and exciting Fourth of July decorations for your party. Alternatively, get a DVD of different types of fireworks and play it in the darkened room. Some of these videos are awesome and children, especially those who have not watched them before will be impressed.
